abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a spherical toner for electrophotography which has excellent low-temperature fixability, does not cause a problem in hot offset resistance, has good fluidity and durability, and has a narrow particle size distribution. Another object of the present invention is to provide a spherical toner for electrophotography which is excellent in low-temperature fixability, does not cause a problem in hot offset resistance, and has good fluidity and durability. SOLUTION: A colored resin melt (I) containing a polyester resin (A) obtained by ring-opening addition of an acid anhydride (a) having an alkyl group or an alkenyl group at a terminal, and a coloring agent (B), A method for producing a spherical toner for electrophotography, comprising dispersing in a water-based medium (II) while maintaining the molten state of the colored resin melt (I), followed by cooling and drying; and the polyester A spherical toner for electrophotography, comprising the resin (A) as a binder resin. |
