abstract (57) [Problem] To provide a method for producing a porous film suitable as a battery separator. SOLUTION: The thermoplastic resin and the thermoplastic resin 100 A primary film is prepared from a resin composition comprising a filler having an average particle diameter of 15 to 85 parts by volume per part by volume of 1 μm or less, and the primary film is formed in at least one direction by 1 to 300 parts. Stretch at a strain rate of% / sec. By stretching a primary film comprising a thermoplastic resin and a filler under the above conditions, a porous film suitable for a battery separator can be obtained.
