titleOfInvention Fuel assembly
abstract (57) [Problem] To provide a MOX fuel assembly in which the number of MOX fuel rods is reduced and the average plutonium enrichment is increased. SOLUTION: A uranium fuel rod G1 containing a burnable poison is disposed at a position including an outermost peripheral fuel layer, and uranium fuel rods 1 and 2 are set at a corner position, and the uranium fuel rods 1 and 2 are moved from the corner position to the outermost fuel layer. The uranium fuel rods G1 containing the burnable poison may be placed at positions apart by the fuel rod pitch, at all positions other than the uranium fuel rods containing the burnable poison in the outermost fuel layer, or two times from the outermost fuel layer. Along with the layer or inside it, The uranium fuel rods 1 and 2 are arranged at corners and at positions separated from the corners by one fuel rod pitch of the outermost fuel layer.
