abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel interior material having an extremely good embossed pattern formed on its surface, exhibiting excellent decorative properties, and having a high quality texture, and a water-based paint for the interior material. SOLUTION: The fiber diameter is 0.01 to 1 μm and the fiber length is 0.1 to 1 μm. A water-based paint for interior materials containing 100 μm inorganic fibers (excluding monoclinic titanium dioxide fibers) having an aspect ratio of 3 or more and a water-based resin emulsion as active ingredients, and a coating layer comprising the water-based paint for interior materials is provided.
