(57) [Summary] [Problem] To provide an alcohol metabolism promoter capable of preventing and improving unpleasant hangover symptoms due to excessive alcohol intake. An alcohol metabolism promoter containing both pyruvic acid or a salt thereof and cysteine or a salt thereof can remarkably promote alcohol metabolism and can further suppress an increase in blood acetaldehyde concentration. This can improve or prevent unpleasant hangover symptoms. |
