(57) [Abstract] [Problem] No need for base roll polishing step (no polishing required) The present invention provides a method for producing a low-hardness roll excellent in releasability and capable of being released with good dimensional accuracy. A method of manufacturing a low-hardness roll including a base roll having a base layer formed on the outer peripheral surface of a shaft body and a surface layer formed on the outer peripheral surface of the base roll. A step of preparing a surface layer material having a coefficient of static friction of less than 1.2; a step of applying the surface layer material on the inner peripheral surface of the roll forming die 21 in advance to form a surface layer 4; A step of setting the shaft body 1 in the mold 21 in which the base layer is formed, casting a base layer material in the surface layer 4 and the gap 24 of the shaft body 1 to form a base roll, and forming the base roll and the surface layer 4 with each other. From the mold 21 to produce a low-hardness roll having the surface layer 4 formed on the outer peripheral surface of the base roll. |
