(57) [Summary] [PROBLEMS] To provide a cement admixture exhibiting a sharp increase in viscosity and exhibiting excellent strength development, and a method of use. SOLUTION: A cement composition containing cement, an alkali thickening type polymer emulsion, a curing accelerator, and clay. The alkali-thickened polymer emulsion is preferably an alkali-thickened polymer emulsion obtained by copolymerizing an unsaturated carboxylic acid and an ethylenically unsaturated compound, and the curing accelerator preferably contains an aluminate or a sulfate. The method of use is preferably to mix the cement and the clay in advance, and to mix the curing accelerator and the alkali thickening polymer emulsion immediately before use. |
