abstract (57) [Problem] To provide a high-density nickel oxyhydroxide and a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: The present invention has a tapping density of 1.8 g / c. c or more of nickel hydroxide is dispersed in an aqueous dispersion medium, and an oxidizing agent is added thereto to produce a high-density nickel oxyhydroxide, whereby the tapping density is 2.1 g / c. A high-density nickel oxyhydroxide having a bulk density of 1.3 g / cc or more is produced.
