abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermosensitive recording medium having high coloring sensitivity and excellent image storage stability such as excellent plasticizer resistance. SOLUTION: The urea urethane compound represented by the general formula (1) is contained as a color developer, and the compound represented by the general formula (2) is used in an amount of 0.01 to 0.9 with respect to 1 part of the color developer. Thermosensitive recording medium containing the compound represented by the general formula (3) or (4) in an amount of 0.01 to 2 parts with respect to 1 part of the developer. Embedded image Embedded image (In the formula, R 1 represents an unsubstituted or substituted alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, an aralkyl group, a phenyl group, or a hydrogen atom.) (In the formula, R 2 represents an alkyl group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms or an electron-withdrawing group, and u represents an integer of 0 to 2.) (In the formula, R 3 and R 4 represent a hydrogen atom, an alkoxy group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms, or an allyloxy group.)
