titleOfInvention | Primary battery |
abstract | (57) [Problem] To provide a novel primary battery having a larger discharge capacity than a conventional alkaline battery. SOLUTION: An electrolytic solution (8) in which iodate ions (IO 3 − ) are dissolved in a basic aqueous solution having a pH of 8 to 14, a current collector (5) for donating electrons to the iodate ions, and a negative electrode ( In the primary battery provided with 3), the negative electrode portion is made of a metal containing zinc or nickel as a main component. When using an electrolytic solution in which bromate ions (BrO 3 − ) are dissolved in a basic aqueous solution having a pH of 8 to 14 and a current collector for donating electrons to the bromate ions, the negative electrode is mainly made of zinc. It is composed of metal as a component. |
