abstract | (57) [Problem] To provide a liquid crystal display device in which light is not irregularly reflected and a contrast is not reduced even by a columnar spacer formed for holding a counter substrate holding liquid crystal at a predetermined interval, and a method of manufacturing the same. I do. SOLUTION: In the liquid crystal display device 1, a spacer 30 for holding opposing substrates 10 and 20 holding a liquid crystal 40 at a predetermined interval is formed, and the spacer 30 is formed by electroless plating. The above problem is solved by providing a columnar spacer made of a resin material that has been blackened. Further, the method for manufacturing the liquid crystal display device 1 is a manufacturing method in which the spacers 30 for holding the opposing substrates 10 and 20 holding the liquid crystal 40 at a predetermined interval are formed, and at least one of the substrates is provided. The method includes a step of forming a spacer pattern having a predetermined thickness and a step of blackening the spacer pattern by electroless plating. |
