titleOfInvention Drive wheel bearing device
abstract (57) [Problem] To provide a drive wheel bearing device capable of changing an axle suspension system to an independent suspension system without drastically changing an axle structure. SOLUTION: The axle 3 has a basic configuration in which a rotating torque is transmitted through a constant velocity universal joint 4 and a hub wheel 8 is rotatably supported on an axle tube 2 by a double row conical roller bearing 13. The inboard side of the constant velocity universal joint 4 And a serration hole 6 of the outer joint member 5 is detachably connected with a retaining ring 16 made of a spring material, and a flange 7 is integrally formed at an end of the axle 3 on the outboard side. By connecting the hub wheel 8 to the suspension, an independent suspension system can be adopted for the suspension of the driving wheel 11 without a significant change in the axle structure.
