abstract | (57) [Summary] [PROBLEMS] To improve the sensitivity of a color photographic element. SOLUTION: (1) A photosensitive silver halide emulsion layer; (2) a nitrogen heterocyclic compound having at least three heteroatoms located in the photosensitive layer or in a layer adjacent to the photosensitive layer, which does not react with an oxidized developing agent and is substituted with a free thiol; A nitrogen heterocyclic compound having no theoretical group and a logarithmic value of the partition coefficient (ClogP) sufficient to enhance the photographic sensitivity of the element compared to the same element without the compound; and (3) An electron transfer agent that releases an electron transfer agent having a ClogP of at least 2.40 upon reaction with an oxidized developing agent, which is present in the light-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer or adjacent to the light-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer. A silver halide color photographic element comprising a support having a release compound (ETARC). |
