abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for dyeing aramid fiber, in which bleed-out of a flame retardant into a dye solution is suppressed, and both contradictory properties of dyeability and flame retardancy are excellent. SOLUTION: When dyeing a wholly aromatic polyamide fiber containing a flame retardant, a phosphorus compound represented by the general formula (I) is used in combination as a dyeing aid. (I) PO (OR) 3 (R represents an alkyl group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms.)
