titleOfInvention Method for producing polyurethane-modified polyisocyanurate foam
abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a rigid foam excellent in compressive strength, dimensional stability, flame retardancy and adhesiveness. SOLUTION: In the presence of a catalyst and a blowing agent consisting of water alone or a mixture of water and a low boiling point compound, a bifunctional or more active hydrogen compound is reacted with a polyisocyanate compound to produce a polyurethane-modified polyisocyanurate foam. The method according to claim 1, wherein (1) the polyisocyanate compound comprises a polymeric MDI and a polymeric MDI. The hydroxyl value of 5% by weight or more and 30% by weight or less (2) The number of isocyanate groups in the polyisocyanate compound is 1% of the total of the number of active hydrogens in the active hydrogen compound and water. A method characterized in that it is at least 5 times the molar amount.
