abstract (57) [Summary] (Corrected) [PROBLEMS] To provide a composition for effectively suppressing cell invasion associated with surgery in a mammal such as a human, and a method for producing the same. The present invention relates to a method for producing a medicament for suppressing cell invasion at a site where inhibition of cell invasion is desired in a mammal. The method of claim 1, wherein the anionic polymer is selected from the group consisting of dextran sulfate, alginate and benton polysulfate. A process wherein the carrier is a gel or polymer carrier, such as natural collagen, denatured collagen or dextran. Cell invasion can be caused by trauma, surgery, It is caused by a disease selected from the group consisting of viral infection, bacterial infection, metabolic disease, malignant disease, exposure to toxic substances and hyperplastic conditions.
