abstract |
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for reducing the abrasiveness of a dentifrice composition without unduly hindering its cleaning effect. A method for reducing the abrasiveness of a dentifrice composition containing an abrasive, wherein the dentin abrasion of the composition is at least 10% and the enamel is reduced in the dentifrice composition. Incorporating a zinc salt in an amount sufficient to reduce abrasion by at least 10% to provide an improved dentifrice composition, wherein the improved dentifrice composition has an improved A method having at least 90% efficacy of the original dentifrice composition. |
