An electrochemical device includes a peripheral wall portion, a solid electrolyte layer provided inside the peripheral wall portion, and a plurality of first electrodes provided on one surface side of the solid electrolyte layer. -16J, which is provided on the other surface side of the solid electrolyte layer and includes a plurality of second electrodes constituting an electrochemical cell together with each first electrode. A first gas supply hole 3A and a first gas discharge hole 3 are provided in a region near the peripheral wall. B, a second gas supply hole 4A and a second gas discharge hole 4B are provided. One surface 14a of the solid electrolyte layer On the side, first gas passages 13A and 13B communicating with the supply hole 3A and the discharge hole 3B are formed. Second gas passages 18A and 18B communicating with the supply hole 4A and the discharge hole 4B are formed on the other surface 14b side of the solid electrolyte layer.
