titleOfInvention | Method for producing polymerization toner |
abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymerizable monomer composition which is easy to handle and penetrate into an aqueous medium even when a polymerization initiator to be used is a water-insoluble powdered solid, and has a uniform transfer to polymerizable monomer composition droplets. It is an object of the present invention to provide a method for producing a polymerized toner that can be performed promptly so that adverse effects on product properties due to different polymerization rates for each droplet do not occur. SOLUTION: The method includes a granulating step of dispersing a polymerizable monomer composition containing at least a polymerizable monomer, a colorant and a release agent and not containing a polymerization initiator in an aqueous dispersion medium, In a method for producing a polymerization toner comprising colored polymer particles obtained by charging a polymerization initiator while the process is being performed and subsequently polymerizing in an aqueous dispersion medium, It is characterized in that the polymerization initiator is insoluble in water and is a powdery solid at its use temperature, and is charged in a state of being suspended and dispersed in water. |
