titleOfInvention | High efficiency microwave radical reactor |
abstract | [PROBLEMS] To efficiently irradiate a fluid with microwaves to increase the processing capability with a constant power and to perform a sterilization action by a radical reaction. A rectangular waveguide in an X band or a K band of microwaves has a length on the E plane of 5 cm to 3 cm. Therefore, a pipe longer than the length of the E-plane cannot penetrate the waveguide. Therefore, by gradually widening the opening area of the waveguide, a large pipe can be inserted, the flow rate per unit time increases, the sterilization treatment capacity of microorganisms increases, and Teflon (registered trademark) is obliquely placed on the reaction part. By inserting the pipe, several times the propagation wavelength of the microwave is present in the reaction section, and the transfer of energy is performed efficiently. |
