PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of controlling a tick-borne disease common to various humans and livestocks by providing a compound for controlling mites and protecting livestock from mite infection. The present invention isolates and provides a gene encoding troponin I in mites. Furthermore, the present invention provides that a recombinant troponin I protein produced and purified from a recombinant cell transformed with the vector by inserting the protein coding region into a protein expression plasmid vector has enzymatic activity. The present invention also provides a method for producing an antibody against danitroponin I. Further, the present invention provides the localization of troponin I in mite tissue specimens and also provides the reactivity with rabbit mite immune serum used as a probe for vaccine candidate molecules. |
