(57) [Problem] To provide a primary battery having high voltage, high capacity, and low self-discharge. SOLUTION: A positive electrode comprising a positive electrode current collector 4 and a positive electrode mixture 3, a negative electrode 1 containing aluminum or an aluminum alloy, and an electrolytic solution 2 sandwiched between the positive electrode and the negative electrode 1 are provided.
