titleOfInvention Inspection jig and inspection method
abstract (57) [Problem] To provide a new inspection jig for inspecting an integrated circuit chip. A test jig for testing an integrated circuit chip, in particular, a ball grid array (BGA) chip is provided. The inspection jig has an upper assembly and a lower assembly. The circuit board with the BGA chip to be tested is located between the upper and lower assemblies. The lower assembly has guide pins extending toward the upper assembly to allow a circuit board having alignment holes compatible with the configuration of the guide pins to be mounted to the lower assembly. The inspection jig has a unique latch mechanism that uses rotational movement to bring the inspection jig into a latched and unlatched state. A collet assembly is used to properly secure the upper and lower assemblies. The inspection jig has a knob that is rotated to pull the upper and lower assemblies linearly.
