abstract (57) [Summary] [Problem] When printing with a high-resolution inkjet printer, a photographic image with high print density and good color reproducibility can be obtained, and after printing such as light resistance of an image portion. To provide a recording medium having excellent image storability. An ink jet recording medium comprising a support and at least an ink receiving layer having a light resistance imparting layer as a lower layer and a color developing layer as an upper layer. The light resistance imparting layer is composed of 1 to 10 parts by weight of a benzotriazole-based ultraviolet absorber, 1 to 8 parts by weight of magnesium sulfate, and 1 to 1 part by weight of zinc oxide as a light resistance imparting chemical with respect to 100 parts by weight of the ink absorbing pigment. The color-forming layer contains a mixture consisting of 10 parts by weight and does not contain a lightfastness-imparting chemical.
