titleOfInvention Gravure plate making method
abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To directly form a negative image composed of an etching resist by spraying an etching resist forming liquid onto a plate-making roll having various sizes by an ink jet type printer, and then etching the cell. Forming a Gravure plate making method. A printing head is scanned in a roll surface length direction with respect to a plate-making roll that is driven to rotate, and an ink for forming an etching resist is spray-coated from the printer head to a non-image area to form a negative image. Then, etching is performed to form a cell. The rotational speed of the plate making roll is calculated based on the outer diameter of the plate making roll so that the peripheral speed of the plate making roll matches the line forming speed of the ejection dots, and the traveling speed of the printer head in the roll surface length direction is calculated. While rotating the plate making roll at the rotation speed and running the ink jet type printer head in the roll surface length direction at the running speed, the printer head ejects the etching resist forming ink only to the non-image area. It is applied to form a negative image made of an etching resist.
