titleOfInvention Optically anisotropic sheet, polarizing plate and method for aligning discotic liquid crystal molecules
abstract (57) [Problem] To provide an optically anisotropic sheet so that the optical axis of discotic liquid crystalline molecules and the transmission axis of a polarizing film can be easily arranged perpendicularly. An optically anisotropic sheet having an optically anisotropic layer formed from discotic liquid crystal molecules, a rubbed alignment film and a transparent support in this order has an average of 50 to 90 degrees. The discotic liquid crystalline molecules are aligned so that the tilt angle is set and the average direction of the optical axis is substantially parallel to the rubbing direction of the alignment film.
