abstract | (57) [Summary] Method for producing hydroxyproline [PROBLEMS] To provide a method for synthesizing hydroxyprolines using nitrone as a starting material, and a synthetic intermediate useful for the synthesis thereof. SOLUTION: The compound represented by the following general formula (3) is A method for producing hydroxyproline represented by the following general formula (10), wherein the hydroxyproline is deprotected if necessary, treated with an alcohol / mineral acid to obtain a corresponding carboxylic acid ester, and hydrolyzed with an alkali. [Formula 1] In the general formula (3), R 1 and R 2 are a protected hydroxyl group or a hydrogen atom, and at least one is a protected hydroxyl group.In the general formula (10), R 1 and R 2 are a hydroxyl group or a hydrogen atom. And at least one is a hydroxyl group. |
