abstract (57) [Problem] To provide a heat sink made of expanded graphite, which prevents scattering of the expanded graphite due to cutting at the time of forming the heat sink, avoids environmental pollution, and has a uniform density even in details such as complicated heat radiation fin shapes. It is an object of the present invention to make the heat conductivity and thus the heat radiation characteristics uniform, and to make the heat radiation fins and the like have sufficient strength. SOLUTION: An expanded graphite chip is sufficiently dried, filled in a mold, and compression-molded into a predetermined heat sink shape to form an expanded graphite heat sink.
