abstract (57) [Abstract] [Problem] To sterilize water in a water use facility such as a pond, a fountain, and a pool to prevent moss adhesion and contamination. SOLUTION: Water in a pond 1 is circulated between a treatment pond 3 by a water channel 4, a pump 10, and a conduit 15. The water is sterilized by the sedimentation tank 8 and the photocatalyst unit 9 provided in the treatment pond 3. The photocatalyst unit 9 is configured by arranging a plurality of plate-like bodies to which at least a photocatalyst functional body made of an optical semiconductor powder is attached. The photocatalyst functional body is also attached to the propeller of the pump 10. Water in contact with the photocatalyst function body is sterilized, and moss adhesion and contamination are prevented.
