abstract [PROBLEMS] To improve the wear resistance of a Ni-based cermet without lowering toughness. SOLUTION: The structure of the whole Ni-based cermet is made of Ni- It is assumed that a spherical or massive hard material aggregate (b) is dispersed in a binder phase (a) composed of a Si-Mo alloy or a Ni-Si alloy. Then, the structure of the hard material aggregate (b) is such that Ni-Mo having a particle size smaller than the size of the hard material aggregate (b) is contained in the binder phase (c) made of a Ni-Si-Mo alloy or a Ni-Si alloy. It is assumed that the dispersed phase (d) composed of boride is dispersed.
