abstract (57) [Problem] To provide an industrially advantageous method for producing a propargylamine compound which is an important intermediate of a phenylalkanoic acid amide compound exhibiting excellent bactericidal activity. SOLUTION: General formula (1) (Wherein R 1 and R 2 each independently represent a hydrogen atom, a C 1 -C 6 alkyl group, or a C 3 -C 6 cycloalkyl group, or R 1 and R 2 are bonded to each other to form Forming a cyclopentyl group or a cyclohexyl group with a carbon atom bonded thereto, and R 3 represents a C 1 -C 6 alkyl group) and ammonia in the presence of a copper catalyst. General formula (2) characterized by the following: (Wherein, R 1 and R 2 have the same meanings as described above). The present invention provides an industrially advantageous method for producing a propargylamine compound.
