A highly economical distillation method for obtaining oxystyrene derivatives such as P-tert-butoxystyrene (PTBS), P-acetoxystyrene (PACS) and m-tert-butoxystyrene (MTBS) at a high recovery rate. A method of distilling an oxystyrene derivative in the presence of a nitroso compound and / or a nitro compound in the presence of an epoxy compound when the oxystyrene derivative of the general formula 1 is distilled. Further, a distillation method, wherein the nitroso compound is N-nitrosophenylhydroxylamine and / or a salt thereof, and the nitro compound is dinitrophenol.
