(57) [Summary] (Modifications) [PROBLEMS] An apparatus of a type in which a compression section is arranged behind a drawing machine and side fibers of slivers are gathered to compress the sliver in a different twisting direction. To provide a sliver compression device in which sliver entrainment is avoided and spun yarn quality is improved. SOLUTION: Only one of the side edges is formed as a fiber guide edge, and the fiber guide edge is a sliver 2. Is positioned transversely to the direction of movement B of the conveyor belt 13 in the already wide starting area and up to the end of the suction slit 16 in spite of the slivering movement of the sliver. |
