To provide a reliable inkjet printer. An ink jet printer using a dye ink containing an acid dye having a sulfone group or a salt thereof and an alkaline pigment ink using an acrylic acid copolymer as a dispersant as needed. A dye ink and a pigment ink are used in which the difference between the pH of the ink and the pH of the pigment ink is within 1.5.
