titleOfInvention | Continuous neutralization method and apparatus |
abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a polymer from a polymer solution obtained by polymerizing a vinyl aromatic hydrocarbon and a conjugated diene in a hydrocarbon solvent with an organolithium compound as an initiator, or a hydrogenated solution thereof. It is an object of the present invention to provide a method for efficiently neutralizing and stabilizing a catalyst residue in a polymer solution. SOLUTION: As a post-treatment after the polymerization of the polymer solution, after deactivating the active terminal of the polymer solution, the polymerization solution is transferred from a polymerization vessel or a polymerization solution hold tank to a devolatilization step. A method of directly blowing carbon dioxide gas into the polymer solution in the polymer solution transfer pipe provided for this purpose, or a pipe having a stirring and mixing function thereafter, or continuously and / or separately blowing carbon dioxide gas continuously. By providing a possible mixing tank, the catalyst residue can be continuously neutralized and stabilized. |
