(57) [Problem] It is an object of the present invention to elucidate the antidiabetic action mechanism of TZD from the ground up as soon as possible and to establish a system as an index for screening of a novel antidiabetic drug. The present invention relates to a method for screening a ligand of a PGC2-PPARγ complex, comprising: 1) a fusion protein containing a DNA binding domain and PGC2; 2) PPARγ; and 3) a region recognized by the DNA binding domain. , A promoter, and a vector containing a reporter gene operably linked to the promoter, a test substance is added, and PGC2 is expressed using the expression of the reporter gene as an index. A method comprising detecting regulation of transcriptional activity of the PPARγ complex. The present invention also relates to a fusion protein that can be used in the above-mentioned screening method, and a gene encoding the fusion protein. |
