abstract (57) [Problem] To provide a hologram creating method capable of reducing noise observed in a reproduced image. SOLUTION: The distance between a spatial light modulator 7 and a lens 8 is a real image or virtual image position 9, 9 'of the object light by the lens 8. (L, L ') is set to be the observation position of the hologram 12'. Since the reproduced image is localized at the observation positions L and L ', even if noise is present in the reproduced image of the spatial light modulator 7', the noise itself is localized at the observation position, so that the noise is not conspicuous as noise, and is substantially eliminated. This means that the noise has been reduced.
