| abstract | (57) [Problem] To display a wideband (high-speed data rate) progressive scan video signal on a display device which is not good at high-speed scan, easily and inexpensively and without deteriorating the image quality. In a liquid crystal display device, the source driver circuit includes a first polarity video signal and a second polarity inverse second polarity video signal for each predetermined number of pixel rows in a first frame or field. The video signal is output so that the video signal of the polarity of the image signal is alternately held in the pixel, and one video screen is displayed from the video signals of a plurality of frame periods. Here, an image is displayed in consideration of the polarity of the image signal. The input progressive scanning video signal can be displayed at a lower speed than when it is displayed as it is. |
