titleOfInvention | Resin composition for toner and toner |
abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition for toner excellent in storability without impairing low-temperature fixability and offset resistance, and a toner using the same. SOLUTION: This resin composition for a toner mainly comprises a vinyl copolymer having a styrene monomer and a (meth) acrylate monomer as constituent units, and a long-chain alkyl alcohol. The vinyl copolymer comprises a low molecular weight polymer component having a weight average molecular weight (Mw) of 3,000 to 50,000 and a high molecular weight polymer component having a weight average molecular weight (Mw) of 100,000 to 5,000,000. The low molecular weight polymer component and / or the high molecular weight polymer component include at least one selected from the group consisting of a hydroxyl group, an amino group, a thiol group, an aldehyde group, a sulfone group, a cyano group, a nitro group, and a halogen group. A resin composition for a toner, comprising 1 to 30% by weight of a component having a kind of polar group, and 1 to 30% by weight of the long-chain alkyl alcohol in the resin composition. |
