titleOfInvention | How to make a photographic image |
abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize liquid effluent, and at the same time, surely prevent oxidizing organic chemicals such as color developing agents and peroxides which may modify an image with the passage of time. A method is provided for processing photographic material in a simple way to remove it. A method for producing a photographic image on an imagewise exposed photographic material comprising one or more silver halide emulsion layers. Developing the material with a developer containing a silver halide developing agent, and applying a solution of a sulfite compound on the surface of the developed material, which reacts with the oxidized developing agent and prevents further development. And applying, to the surface of the developed material, a solution of an oxidizing agent that oxidizes the remaining developing agent, wherein the sulfite compound reacts with all of the oxidized developing agent. The sulphite solution and the oxidant solution are applied to the material in a manner other than by immersion in a tank, and in a sufficient amount to do so. |
