abstract (57) Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a photocatalyst whose activity hardly decreases with the elapse of use time, and a purifying apparatus and a purifying method using such a photocatalyst. A photocatalyst composite comprising a mixture of a photocatalyst in which a photocatalyst such as titanium dioxide is supported on at least a part of the surface of a substrate such as glass beads and a porous body such as activated carbon. A fluid purifying apparatus having a filling chamber filled with the photocatalyst complex, and having an inlet for introducing a fluid into the filling chamber and an outlet for discharging a fluid passing through the filling chamber. A method for purifying a fluid, comprising: irradiating a photocatalyst complex filled in the device with light capable of activating a photocatalyst while introducing the fluid to be purified into the device.
