abstract | (57) [Problem] To provide a method for rapidly specifying a mutant gene in a mutant animal in which the mutant gene has not been specified. SOLUTION: The following steps i) to ii): i) Tissue or cells of a control animal and a strain obtained from a strain of a control animal, which are obtained by mutation, and are not shown in the control animal as a result of the mutation. Extracting messenger RNA from the same tissue or cell of an animal exhibiting a phenotypic change (hereinafter referred to as “mutant animal”), and preparing cRNA or cDNA using the messenger RNA as a starting material; and ii) the above step i CRNA or cDN obtained in Using A to identify a gene whose expression level varies significantly between a mutant animal and a control animal. |
