(57) [Summary] [PROBLEMS] To achieve high yield while improving low productivity which is a problem of a prismatic alkaline storage battery. SOLUTION: A positive electrode plate in which an active material powder containing nickel hydroxide as a main component is filled in a porous metal body having a space connected three-dimensionally, and a negative electrode plate are bent at least once through a separator to be opposed to each other. The electrode body laminated so that In the alkaline storage battery housed in the rectangular container, the metal porous body in the bent portion of the positive electrode plate is not filled with the active material and is subjected to a rolling treatment. |
