titleOfInvention Dispersion medium replacement method and method for producing high-purity terephthalic acid
abstract (57) [Summary] (with correction) [PROBLEMS] To shorten the process flow and reduce the investment amount and operating cost in a high-purity terephthalic acid production apparatus using a dispersion medium replacement method. SOLUTION: A raw slurry 9 composed of an original dispersion medium and solid particles is introduced from an upper part 3 of a dispersion medium replacement column 1 and a replacement dispersion medium 11 is introduced from a lower part 4 of the same, and the original dispersion medium of the solid particles is replaced. The substituted slurry 12 composed of the dispersing medium for replacement and the solid particles is extracted from the lower part 4 of the column, and the original dispersion medium 10 is extracted from the upper part 3 of the column. A method for replacing a dispersion medium, wherein a vertical multi-stage vibrating column extractor is used in the dispersion medium replacement tower.
