(57) [Problem] To provide a method for producing a negative electrode material which can be a negative electrode active material having a large charge / discharge capacity, high charge / discharge efficiency, and excellent charge / discharge cycle characteristics. SOLUTION: By heating graphite in a strong oxidizing liquid, the graphite oxide is oxidized and the interlayer distance of graphite is expanded to produce graphite oxide. By performing a heat treatment after mixing, the interlayer distance of the graphite oxide is reduced to form pyrolytic graphite oxide, and the fatty acid metal salt is formed into an amorphous metal compound, and at least a part of the surface of the pyrolytic graphite oxide is formed. And a metal compound manufacturing step of coating the metal compound with the metal compound. |
