abstract (57) [Summary] [PROBLEMS] To provide a device that can be used to simulate a mastication process. The device comprises a thermostatically adjustable kneading space comprising an upper part and a lower part, wherein the lower part comprises at least two kneading paddles for pulverizing and kneading the test material. An upper portion comprising a space for air to collect volatile components released during the milling and kneading period, through which said equipment saliva is introduced into the kneading space; and A second entrance through which air is vented into the kneading space; A novel device in which air is vented to the detection system through the outlet of the kneading space together with the volatile components of the milling and kneading process.
