abstract | (57) [Problem] To provide a multicolor heat-sensitive recording material capable of double-sided recording of a multicolor image having a simple configuration, high sensitivity, good color separation, high density and excellent contrast. SOLUTION: On both surfaces of a support, two or more kinds of electron-donating dye precursors that develop colors different from each other and an electron-accepting compound that causes the electron-donating dye precursors to develop color when heated are formed in the same layer. A multicolor heat-sensitive recording material having a heat-sensitive recording layer containing the electron-donating dye precursor, wherein the electron-donating dye precursor is one or more electron-donating dye precursors encapsulated in different microcapsules. A multicolor heat-sensitive recording material characterized by comprising at least one kind of electron-donating dye precursor which is colored in a different hue from that included therein and is in the form of solid fine particles. |
