titleOfInvention | Adeno-associated virus and chimeric adenovirus recombinant virus useful for integrating foreign gene information into chromosomal DNA of target cells |
abstract | (57) [Summary]nThe present invention provides chimeric viral vectors that have both the ability to efficiently infect host cells and the ability to integrate their genomic material into the host cell genome. Thus, the present invention provides such a chimeric viral vector comprising a functional packaging signal from a first virus and an integration means from a second virus. Typically, viruses that can integrate those materials into the host cell genome, preferably provide additional genetic material derived therein by recombinant techniques, will insert such additional genetic material. There is no room to do it or the ability to infect all desired host cells is not high. Typically, viruses with good ability to infect many host cells do not have high insertion capacity or cannot integrate their genomic material with said additional genetic material into the host cell genome Either. The present invention provides a solution to the problem of obtaining large inserts that integrate at an effective infection rate into the host cell genome by combining the properties of an effective infectious virus and an effective integrated virus. A good working example of the present invention is provided with a combination of adenovirus and adeno-associated virus. |
