The temperature control system comprises: an electric heater (13) having a first surface (13a) in contact with the electronic device (11) and a second surface (13b) opposite the first surface. A heat sink (14) coupled to the second surface of the heater and absorbing heat from the electronic device (11) through the second surface of the heater; and coupled to the electronic device to sense the device temperature Td . A temperature sensor (12c). A control circuit (15) is coupled to the device temperature sensor and the heater to reduce power to the heater if the sensed temperature of the electronic device exceeds a set point, and vice versa. When the heater temperature T h is less than T d, the heat flows to the heat sink through the heater from the electronic device, the ratio of heat flow increases as T d -T h increases. If the T h is more than T d, the heat flows from the heater to the electronic device, the ratio of heat flow increases as T h -T d increases. |
