abstract (57) [Summary]nThe present invention provides materials and methods for delivering selected strains and / or oxalate-degrading enzymes to the intestinal tract of a person at high risk for an oxalate-related disease. The reason is that those at high risk for oxalate-related diseases are deficient or have inappropriate amounts of such bacteria. The administration of such bacteria and / or related enzymes removes oxalate from the intestinal tract, thus reducing the amount of oxalate absorbed and reducing the risk of oxalate-related disease .
